The Symbiosis project team is proud to announce that the Shift Skills Competence Programme is now fully developed and publicly available on our project website. The result of our close collaboration is an intuitive and interactive platform for education, industry and local government that offers a total of 24 educational resources in the form of learning nuggets, collaborative tools, case studies and booklets.

With only a few weeks remaining until the project comes to en end on August 31th 2026, our partners are now fully committed to disseminate the Shift Skills Competence Programme to regional and European Audiences alike. In the following, key dissemination efforts are showcased.

Presentation at the EDULEARN26 Conference

On June 29th, Margarida Jardim (Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen) and Arne Ortland (TrENDi Entrepreneurship Service at the University of Vechta) jointly presented key project findings during the EDULEARN26 conference on Palma de Mallorca, Spain. The audience was comprised of experts in the domains of education, sustainable project management and many other related fields from various European countries.

In addition, the corresponding abstract and paper will be included in the IATED Digital Library as part of a database of innovative projects in education and technology, which will further add to the project's visibility on a European level.

Webinar 'Bridge the gap between labour supply and demand'

On June 25th 2026, the Symbiosis project team hosted an online webinar during which the newly launched Shift Skills Competence Programme was presented to an interested audience of diverse European stakeholders.

After several keynote presentations by members of the project, Audun Lysbakken, Director of the West Norway Brussels Office, moderated a lively panel debate which was joined by external experts. Together, they discussed barriers to putting more emphasis on transition skills and how the Shift Skills Competence Framework can support the upskilling of public and private sector organisations. All experts agreed that the resources embedded on the Competence Programme are key to accelatering transitions.

Regional Dissemation Events

In addition to our dissemination efforts on a European level, partners conducted regional dissemination events which aimed at presenting the project outcomes to regional stakeholders. Students in secondary and vocational schools, educational institutions, career advisors, industry and SMEs, municipalities, and politicians were among the diverse target groups that attended our events to learn more about the Shift Skills Competence Programme.

What's Next?

The actions described above have greatly increased the Shift Skills Competence Programme's visibility. Testimony to that is the fact that our educational resources have been accessed by more than 750 individual learners already. However, to ensure that the Competence Programme actually empowers education, industry, and local governments to shape a resilient future together, we now need to direct our efforts to supporting organisations and teams to adopt new ways of thinking and working.

If you are interested in learning more about the Shift Skills Competence Programme and its diverse resources, please don't hesitate to reach out. Make transition happen!
